Camping

We went on a camping trip a couple of weeks ago. All of the campgrounds were full so we drove around trying to find a spot. Four and a half hours later we were successful. But, it was a beautiful spot! Here are a few pictures from the adventure.

Hiking and posing for pictures.

This meadow was beautiful, but it had a deadly secret: it harbored billions of gigantic, blood-thirsty, man-eating mosquitoes. We've never hiked so quickly! We still itch.

SwimmingWe had a fun trip, but I have forgotten the little I knew about camping. Ryan put me in charge of food, which might have been a mistake. Next time I will try to remember a can opener for the cans of food. We were successful in opening one can with a rock though. We went to bed early because we also did not bring any matches to light the lantern. A good flashlight would also be a plus. I insisted we camp by water, but in the future that will not be a deal breaker since the bugs also like to camp by water. We all had a great time and will try to camp more next year with a little more preparation.

No offense Lisa but this post was hilarious. I haven't been camping myself for quite some time but I can certainly see myself doing some of the same things. Better luck next time.
