Ski Day

Today was the first day of the ski program that our family is doing.  It went much better than I would have thought.  The weather was beautiful and we were all skiing without jackets.

Nicholas had fun in his class.  He loves to fall down.  That was all he would do.  Ryan worked with him afterwords and he is now able to wedge.

Sabrina said she had a headache so her instructor took her to the first aid room for a portion of her class.  She was fine once class was over.  That sounds a little suspicious if you ask me.

Lindsay was separated from her class.  She said her teacher told her to go ahead and ski down the mountain.  When she got to the bottom she didn't wait for the rest of her class, but I think saw that as a chance to escape.

I decided to take an instructors training class in the afternoon.  I was surprised at how nervous I was, probably because I am going to be teaching lessons, but I haven't figured out how to ski yet myself.  While I was in my lesson, a girl went zooming past us and the instructor said "There is an accident waiting to happen".  I didn't tell everyone that the girl was my daughter, Lindsay.  Some things are better left unsaid.  I tried to ski with her after my class.  I thought I could give her some much needed instruction.  But, I fell down.  And she apparently was not yearing for the new knowedge and guidance I could give her.  She just kept going, probably hoping that I would never catch up with her.  And I didn't.  I think she should stay with her class next week.

Now we are hoping for snow, so that we can go next week.  I'll try to remember to take the camera.
