Battleship New Jersey

Labor Day weekend we decided to go to Philadelphia.  Crazy traffic and being in a lane we shouldn't have been in forced us to go over the Ben Franklin bridge and into New Jersey instead.
In an effort to go the opposite direction the hundreds of cars around us we were able to tour some neighborhoods that were quite scary.  Making sure the doors were locked, we headed back to the floods of people, many of which were waiting in line to park.  We parked also and went to find food.  (It was early afternoon and everyone was starving).  After waiting in a line that stretched through the restaurant and out the door we tried to order pizza and were told they were out of cheese but they had some sliced pizza we could buy.  It was our lucky day!  With our bellies full we wandered around and found our way to the battleship New Jersey, and it wasn't crowded at all!  We spent a couple of hours there and left when they closed.  If you're ever in the area I would recommend stopping for a tour.

Nicholas looks ready for a nap.
Lindsay loved sitting in this chair.
Sabrina climbing up one of the many levels.
They look like they know what they're doing.

America's most decorated battleship
The High Line Chair - This type of seat attached to a cable was used to transfer people from one ship to another over the open sea.

Lots of thing to play with!
The hallways are small with a lot of doors.
Periscopes are cool!

The Barber Shop
The Brig - we decided to let them out.  Still questioning the judgement of that decision.
