A tiring day
I have been sick for a couple of weeks. Today I had my French class and decided to take some cold medicine this morning before I left so I could get through the class. I walked to the metro and it was not running because of an emergency. Luckily I live close to another metro station so I walked to that one. It was also closed and empty except for the police officers milling about. I decided the first metro station was more promising so I walked back. After waiting just a few minutes the metro started running again. The good news - I had over half an hour of walking today before class. The bad news - I was sick and very tired. The metro was going much slower than normal and was very crowded. I stood while holding onto the railing with my eyes closed willing the metro to go faster. I arrived at my class and made it through, albeit without any super student nominations. After class I met Ryan. We went for a walk. I was still very tired. I went home and wanted to take a nap but I had some cleaning to do first. Then the kids came home and I miraculously wasn't quite as sleepy. I made it through the evening and went to take some medicine before bed. That's when I noticed I took a night time cold medicine before my French class. I think it works better at night, when I have time to sleep. Lesson learned- don't get sick. If that isn't possible and medicine is needed, read the entire label.
